How do I conduct my practice?I try to treat people as I would like to be treated by an attorney and as I was in another industry for a long while, I can certainly understand the trepidation one feels when they consult an attorney. To ease peoples' minds about the cost of trying to explain or determine their problem, most of the time I offer a "no obligations" first consultation. (If your problem is different enough to change my usual procedure, we'll talk about it over the phone before we set a time for you to come in.) We'll sit down and talk over your situation and let me ask the questions I need to ask to determine the best way to address it. Once that is accomplished, I know the amount of work that will be required and I can quote a fee. If for any reason, you do not wish to proceed, then you don't owe me anything for the time we've spent. If what I say sounds good to you, then I usually get a retainer and we proceed from there. Because I have clients from all walks of life, I am flexible in scheduling appointments as they range from early in the morning to late in the evening and on weekends if necessary. If the situation calls for it, I have met clients at their offices and their homes.If all that is satisfactory to you, contact me and I will be happy to set up a time to talk. |
